ABOUT YOUR JOB AT Epic Enterprise

 

Here’s what you can expect while working as a Career Consultant:

§ Every day, you will make a difference in someone’s life. When people go to work, it provides them with income, helps them connect socially and, for many, a job gives them purpose.

§ You will work with people with a range of life experiences that may include mental health challenges, emotional, physical, or intellectual developmental disabilities.

§ You will work in-person; spending time getting to know people and their community, going out to businesses for informational meetings, tours, and interviews.

§ You will use your creativity to identify opportunities for people to demonstrate their skills and interests, then find careers where they can do more of what they love.

§ You will provide initial job coaching as needed to encourage success on the job.

§ You may transport individuals to and from work and other community locations as needed, using a company vehicle whenever possible.

§ The position includes completing 245D paperwork, attending individuals’ meetings and being a valued member of their team.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

§ Nonexempt, $19.00-$22.00 per hour based on education and experience.

§ While most weeks Career Consultants are working Monday-Friday from 8a-5p, the work schedule will include occasional evenings or weekends based on customer needs. Must be flexible to attend meetings and training as required.

§ Benefit package after two full months of full-time employment to include medical (employee contribution), dental, vision, 401K plan, Short-term disability, Long-term disability, Group Life Insurance, and other elective coverages. Personal Time Off and eight paid holidays.

 

You must also be able to comply with and pass the Department of Human Services (DHS) background check which may include fingerprinting, you must have a valid driver's license, and pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check. The position requires effective problem solving, communication, initiative, creativity and relationship building skills.
