Quality Assurance / Food Safety - 1st shift

Provides essential contributions to monitor and advance the company’s safety and quality programs.
Essential Functions:
• Pre-operational inspections and documentation
• GMP monitoring
• Fat testing
• N60 Plus sampling
• Thermometer calibrations
• Temperature checks
• Environmental testing
• Sanitation checks/mid-shift inspection
• Carcass swabs
• Observational record keeping
• Production Quality reports
• Other sample preparations and SARFs
Education and Experience:  
• No formal education or experience is required
• Previous experience in Quality Assurance is preferred 
• Ability to read and follow basic instruction with an eye for detail and desire for accuracy 
- Fluency in English (verbal and written), Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) is preferred
Other Skills/Abilities/Specifications: 
• Strong attention to detail
• The desire and ability to follow general food safety practices (GMPs, HACCP, and SQF system).  HACCP Certification (must be done prior to being able to fill in logs)
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
** Hours during training periods may be slightly varied but will be agreed upon in advance between the QA Manager and Candidate.  (5:30 am - 2 pm and 9 am - 5:30 pm)
