The Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is pleased to announce that Rachel Trnka has been selected as the Administrative Assistant. Trnka joined the Chamber in late April after an eight-year position as the Service Clerk at SEMA Equipment, in Northfield.

Rachel grew up on a farm outside of Northfield and graduated from Northfield high school in 2002. She received her Associates Degree at Minnesota School of Health Sciences in the Veterinary Technician program in 2006. From there she worked at Farmington Veterinary clinic, Minnesota Orthodontics and SEMA Equipment. Rachel and her husband Brian have a daughter Kelsie who is 12 and a son Ajay who is 8, both attend the Northfield School District schools. They reside out in the country in between Northfield and Faribault where they have a large loveable dog, fish and chickens. Rachel enjoys gardening, decorating/crafting of all sorts, playing sand volleyball, and mostly hanging out with my family and friends.
