Celebrating Hogan Brothers’ Acoustic Café: More Than Just a Hoagie
If you’ve spent any time in downtown Northfield, you know the smell of freshly baked honey-cracked wheat bread is practically a local landmark. We are thrilled to see one of our long-standing Chamber members, Hogan Brothers’ Acoustic Café, getting some well-deserved love this week from the popular "Only Minnesota Things" community and My Local Nooks.
A Northfield Original
Hogan Brothers has been more than just a sandwich shop; it has been the living room of Division Street. Throughout the years the café has grown, doubling its space and expanding its heart along with it.
The recent feature on My Local Nooks highlighted a staggering fact that locals know well: on its busiest days, Hogan Brothers has the capacity to serve up to 1,000 customers.
Whether it's St. Olaf and Carleton students grabbing a quick lunch, families stopping in for ice cream, or visitors coming for that signature "special sauce," the café remains a hub of constant activity and "contentment."
A Fan Favorite for Generations
Beyond the numbers, the true impact of Hogan Brothers can be seen in the community’s response. The recent feature was met with a wave of support online, with many fans sharing glowing comments about their Hogan Brothers favorite’s. It is a wonderful thing to see such an outpouring of local pride – proving that for many, a trip to Hogan Brothers is a cherished Northfield Tradition.
Supporting Local Excellence
At the Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce, we take great pride in members like Hogan Brothers who contribute to the vibrant, walkable charm of our downtown. Their ability to serve a massive volume of guests while maintaining a "small-town" feel is a masterclass in local business success.
We encourage everyone to head downtown, grab a hot hoagie (and maybe a scoop of ice cream!), and celebrate a business that has been serving our community with a smile since 1991.
