Girls Night Out. Period.

Get ready for a night of community, connection, and making a difference! On Friday, May 8, 2026, the Northfield Chamber of Commerce and the Community Action Center (CAC) are joining forces for a special edition of Girls Nite Out: "Girls Nite Out. Period."

This year’s event isn’t just about local shopping and fun—it’s about menstrual equity. We are uniting to ensure that everyone in our community has access to essential period products, which are often a significant financial burden for neighbors in need.

Why "Girls Nite Out. Period."?
Did you know that 1 in 4 people in the U.S. struggle to afford menstrual products? Even more surprising: these essential items are not covered by SNAP (food stamps) or other federal benefits. When families are forced to choose between food and hygiene, dignity shouldn't have to be the trade-off.

The CAC is working to bridge this gap through their "Go With The Flow" initiative, and this year, your night out helps stock the shelves of CAC’s food shelves.

The GNO Itinerary: May 8, 2026
3:30 PM – 5:15 PM | The Kick-Off 📍 Reunion (Upstairs) Start the evening strong at Reunion! Enjoy complimentary appetizers and a cash bar featuring signature drinks. This is a time for camaraderie and solidarity as we raise awareness for the menstrual equity initiative.

5:15 PM – 8:00 PM | Shop Local for a Cause 📍 Downtown Northfield Grab your BFFs and hit the streets of Downtown Northfield! Support our amazing local businesses and find something special.

• The Perk: Your in-store purchase gets you an entry into the prize drawing.
• The Impact: You can also earn drawing entries by making a donation to the CAC right at the participating shops.
• The Prizes: Win local gift cards, goodies, and the ever-popular Chamber Bucks!

8:00 PM | The Finale 📍 Reunion (Upstairs) We’ll head back to Reunion to cap off the night! Expect entertainment, a cash bar, and free appetizers (while supplies last). We will be drawing the winners for the evening’s prizes—will it be you? How You Can Help Right Now
You don’t have to wait until May 8th to support your neighbors. The CAC can stretch a donation further than a trip to the store; because of their bulk purchasing power, a $30 donation can provide a one year supply of products for someone in need.
